What is ccTLD?

This is a top level domain, whose ending represents a two-letter acronym of a particular country. Examples are "de" for Germany (Deutschland), "uk" for United Kingdom, "fr" for France or "jp" for Japan. Creation and delegation of ccTLDs is performed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) as described in RFC 1591, corresponding to industry standard ISO-3166-1.
