What is Online?

When someone is connected to the Internet, they are considered "online". In more details, the terms online and offline (also on-line and off-line) have specific meanings with respect to computer technology and telecommunication.

In general, "online" indicates a state of connectivity, while "offline" indicates a disconnected state.
