What is Backbone?
A backbone refers to the high speed main network lines that formats a major pathway within a network. In other words you can say, a central network connecting other networks together. You can imagine this just like the human backbone that carries signal to many smaller nerves in the body, a network backbone carries data to smaller lines of transmission.
